Definition of type psSymbolType

Class hierarchy:

psPageType (TOleEnum)

Const

st_Normal This is the normal type of symbol in Automation, meaning a symbol, that doesnt need any special status
st_Head This is a list that can be placed on a normal page. When used, the page setup needs to be adjusted to "include list on page". The "normal" drawing headers are normal symbols, simply used as drawing headers
st_Ignore DOS symbol type for drawing headers. Obsolete
st_Relay Symbols which will have an attached reference cross when placed on a diagram page
st_Open The symbol will be conceived as an open contact and the location of the symbol will be displayed in the reference cross as an open contact for the component it is part of. Will also be assigned a reference to the relay symbol for the same component
st_Close The symbol will be conceived as a close contact and the location of the symbol will be displayed in the reference cross as a close contact for the component it is part of. Will also be assigned a reference to the relay symbol for the same component
st_Switch The symbol will be conceived as a switch and the location of the symbol will be displayed in the reference cross as an open contact as well as a close contact for the component it is part of. Will also be assigned a reference to the relay symbol for the same component
st_MasterRef The symbol will have references to all other symbols having the same symbol name. For instance manually controlled contacts
st_WithRef Refers either to a symbol with a Master reference or to the closest preceding as well as succeeding symbol which is part of the same component
st_Reference A symbol which is a reference cross
st_Signal This is a symbol, that is used to link two electrical lines together. When a line on one page has to continue on another page, then you add a symbol of type st_signal , at the end of a line (exact same position (x,y,z)). Give the signal a symbolname.
On the page where the line is to continue, place another symbol of type st_signal , with excatly the same symbolname. Connect a line to that symbol, and the final result will be a line that goes from one page, and continues on another page. Design check will return with errors if electrical lines finish without signal symbols (they are parked lines). The signal symbol on a line will refer to another signal symbol with the same name, i.e. 12 V, and in that way the electrical net can exist through several pages. When you finish an electrical line, a dialog will pop up and guide you through naming the signal symbol
st_Terminal The symbol will appear in terminal lists. Terminals have the same electrical potential at both connection points. Other symbols can "look through" a terminal
st_Plc The symbol will appear in plc lists. Connection point data on plcs can be imported/exported via the import/export IO-functions
st_Data Data fields are applied to add information to a component which has been placed on the drawing. The information can also be included in the lists
st_NoneElectric Non-electrical symbols can be connected to non-electric lines, i.e. doors or windows in a house drawing
st_Support A symbol that is used as data carrier for accessories, i.e. a socket for a lamp, or an extra set of mounting screws for a lamp. In the database, components can be made to include accessories (like the socket) thus making the support symbol superfluous, but the support symbol is meant to carry extras that are not specified as accessories in the database
st_Power Electronic symbol type
st_Cable Connections.count = 1 or above, depending on how many lines that are connected to this symbol. This symbols main function is to visual show a CableName (Symbol.Fullname), on the connected lines
st_WireNumber This is used when you need to specify a specific Wirenumber on a line. A symbol of type st_WireNumber has Connections.count = 1. This symbols main function is to visually show a WireNumber (Symbol.Fullname), on the connected line. The wire number symbol shows the number as specified in the wire number dialog
st_TestPoint Electronic symbol type
st_MultiSignal Reserved for future use
st_DynCable Loop symbol type
st_DynTerm Loop symbol type
st_PowerSource Nkt-doc symbol type
st_PowerDistrb Nkt-doc symbol type
st_PowerLoad Nkt-doc symbol type
st_PowerCable Nkt-doc symbol type
st_CableDuct Nkt-doc symbol type
st_Insertion Insertion symbols define the borders for sub-drawings and the borders for the insertion area on diagram pages
st_PlcRef The symbol contains references to all individual inputs and/or outputs that belong to the plc-component
st_Measure The measure symbol is at both ends of a measurement. The measurement itself is between two measure symbols
st_LineConnect Symbol applied in connection with sub-drawings containing models. The symbol is used to specify where to connect a wire in a sub-drawing
st_Branch
This is a symbol that is used when drawing mounting correct drawings. It's a symbol with 8 different states, as shown in this picture. It has 3 connection points (Symbol.Connections.Count=3). The position of these points can also be seen in the picture. To determine in what way things are connected, you should check the state of the symbol.
Picture comment: red numbers are connection indexes.
Blue numbers are states

st_BusBar A stretching symbol that represents a busbar-component. Lines connected to the busbar are not connected with the normal dot. Each wire connected to a busbar is wire numbered, where it will not be, if the signal is drawn as a line. The connection points of the busbar are named with the signals name. At present, there is no reference between this signal name and the same names on signal symbols
st_PowerFuse Nkt-doc symbol type
